They had a terrific benefit for Chris last Sunday. It was held at the last great honky tonk in the Sacramento area -- The Live Oak Tavern in Rocklin.
There was at least a 100 people there -- all of them Chris's friends. A couple guys from Merle's band came down to pick. There must have been 20 musicians -- all top grade.
They raised almost @#$%^& for Christopher. He starts 90 days of chemo and radiation on the 29th. We are all pulling for him. Please add your prayers for one of the best people on this planet.
Thanks!

Chris got his first radiation treatment today. It's really cool, he says. Now he can change strings in the dark without a flashlight. That Chris, always an optimist! (or is it opthiflamigist?, I forget) |

Tom,
Chris promised me he'd come and visit on the Fourth of July, 2009
I sure hope he gets better soon. I just bought 6 gallons of peanut butter and jelly because I was expecting a visit from Chris, his 3 wives and his 14 kids at Xmas!
Please tell Chris to get well soon... and not to worry because the PB&J will store just fine.
And make sure you let him know that if there's anything I can do to help, to just let me know. |

I didn't even know Chris wasn't doing well.
Is there somewhere to send a donation?
Thanks,

Sorry I couldn't be there! And, as Mr. Quinn put it so well, "Ya gotta know this guy."
As for you, Mr. Ivey - Hang in there. (As if you haven't always done that anyhow...) Get yourself better again soon and be in touch.
Cheers as always,
The other Chris |

Hey Tom,
Yes, let's do some picking for sure!
I'm just on the other side of the freeway from you.
I'll send you a PM with contact info.
Also, the number I have for Chris has been disconnected. If anyone has his new number I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Joe |
