Just a short note to say that JayDee is pickin on the televised portion of the Opry tomorrow night with Vince's band. They are doing a tribute to Roy Acuff.

Thanks for the information, Jim! I'll be sure to check that out. I met JayDee at the ISGC-2003 a couple of weeks ago. He and his wife are wonderful people.

Jim, caught the show and Jay Dee looked great, only thing, we got no steel audio as usual. I guess when the Opry goes away, we won't miss much. I hope we can still tune into WSMonline and hear it, thanks, Gary.

No steel on the audio here, either - AND I fooled with the various 'options' on my remote.

Does anyone know what's going on with this? I also get an 'abbreviated' mix on some of the videos played on CMT.

The steel was almost missing from my mix last night too, and usually I hear it fine when others complain.

I haven't had any audio from that side of the stage for quite a few weeks now. What's going on? Couldn't hear Vince's dobro ride, or Earl Scruggs when he had a solo. It always seems like it's always from that same side of the stage that we can't hear the solos or the fills. I also checked all my settings on my TV to make sure it wasn't that.

I watched and heard JayDee's solo and Earl Scruggs' banjo just fine. I wish we could solve the mystery of why some do and some don't get all the audio.

You know the perplexing thing, Tim? When we lived fifteen miles north of here in North Naples we had the same cable company (Comcast) and, until recently, the same TV - we got both 'sides' of the mix just fine then, but since moving to our new condo, I've yet to hear a steel player on the Opry!

I used to wonder what everyone was complaining about here on the Forum - now I know!

I'm going to call Comcast tomorrow and see what they have to say - if it's helpful, I'll let you all know what they say....
