Sorry about that. My new browser takes some getting used to. I don't think it likes spaces and dashes.

It works now. Thanks for letting me know.

Man thats got to be a great guitar. I see even though its a SD-10 the cross shafts run all the way across the body. No brackets & short cross shafts. In my humble opinion that makes a huge tone difference. This has got to be a good guitar... Bet it sounds great to be an MSA Laughing

I have had the pleasure of seeing this guitar first hand at Charles' home. It is in excellent order and Charles played the hell out of it.

Ken, thanks for being our guest in our home. Maybe we can repeat that next Dallas Jamboree if you get to come.

On playing the hell out of it, rest assured, there is a lot of that left in it that I never found.

Well, the new year is here. I know bills will come in but be assured, this is a great guitar. Someone needs it.

Would someone like to make a REASONABLE OFFER?????

This is the guitar I now have and plan to keep.

The Classic is a full size guitar and the S/S is a shorter lighter guitar but has the tone and sound of a great guitar that it is. The Classic is a much heavier guitar.

It is a S/S (SuperSustain) not a 55 as it seems to look like.

MSA managed to make it a bit confusing with all the S's.
"Supersustain", written on the necks, refer to the pickups.
"SS"(looks like 55), written on the front apron, actually stands for "Super Small".
The SS was designed by Bud Carter and it's more compact and lightweight than the other pro MSA's from the time.
They have first class mechanics, even by todays standards, and stay in tune forever. I had a BL710 and a E66 in mine and it sounded great. Don't know why i sold it Oh Well

That's valueable info for a guy like me, but how does the Vintage fit in? I've a '74 model, D-10, Vintage XL, SuperSustain. I never see one listed on here. I am a green horn at this too. I've owned this guitar for a yr now. How does it compare to the Classic, or any other steel for that matter? I don't intend to hi-jack this thread, Charles, please forgive me, but I really would appreciate guidance. Thanks ...Bob

The Vintage XL isn't as compact as the SS, but apart from that they are the same. The old laquer MSA's are all good instruments. This paricular one looks like new. Should make someone happy.

Remove the guitar from the "For Sale"

There has only been interest from "low-ballers"
