Here is wishing Buddy Emmons a very Merry Christmas. Buddy, you are still the all time king and the father of pedal steel guitar. All of the years that you put into pedal steel are now being passsed down through generations to new players. You are the living legend of pedal steel guitar. Have a wonderful Christmas and may God bless you for all of the dedication and inspiration to fellow steel players. |

Merry Christmas Buddy; I personally can't thank you enough for all the pleasure you've brought me (over 50 years). I just think of all the work and dedication with the available information at that time in the beginning to have accomplished what you have in this life. Awesome. And I have really enjoyed your posts on this forum, a real attention getter; thank you Buddy Emmons. |

Buddy,
Thank you, for all of the inspiration we have drawn from you through the years.
Very rarely does an individual with the tallent of Buddy Emmons come along. I can only think of one other person; Chet Atkins.
Buddy, you are to pedal steel, that Chet is to guitar! You have that, "special touch", that no one else has. You set the standard! No one else can attain it, but we will keep trying.
With all the love and admiration we are capable of giving; thank you!
Also, thanks again for the broken string you gave me. I have it fastened to my steel seat. Bill Duncan _________________ You can observe a lot just by looking |

Great gesture Kevin, and thoroughly deserved. Lets hope that 2009 treats Mr Emmons more kindly than this year. We all owe him so much. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Mr. Emmons. The reason I took up pedal steel in the first place.Anytime I,ve gotten bored over the years I just listen to a couple of songs or catch a part of a tv show and his playing would get me going again. Thanks |

Everything that Kevin said, I've always loved Buddy's playing and the tone he gets. That's why I have so many Amps, and Effects trying to get the right tone that I like.
Reaching and trying to attain.
Hope all is well with you Buddy, we are all still praying for you.
