can i use a mike on a nashville 400 and how to plug it on?thanks

It can be done, but it won't sound very good. Instrument amps are not designed to handle voices.

You would need to get an adapter from the XLR plug to a 1/4 inch one.

Unless it's a high-impedance mic...

But before making any recommendations - what exactly are you trying to do? Amplify voices or acoustic instruments through your amp? Without knowing the application it's hard to tell what might work - although Mike is correct, it's usually just a bad idea.

I use a Shure SM-57 on a real short stand, and just run it right into the PA.

What Sliff said---Are you trying to use the amp for a P.A., or are you trying to put a mike in front of the amp?

You can obtain a preamp signal by simply connecting an instrument cable from the PRE AMP OUT on the rear panel. No XLR connector involved. This will access a nominal one volt signal from the PRE AMP OUT jack.

mike if you use the mike far singing how can you ajust the volume?
