This is a completely custom pedal steel guitar built by master Steel Guitar builder George Sell out of the Philadelphia region. This guitar is currently for sale on craigslist out of Washington D.C. Link: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/msg/955252356.html it was also discussed on a psg forum from a previous craigslist ad. Link: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=143914 If you need any more info on this item that you did not find on the above two websites please email me. It makes a great gift! I am willing to ship, but it would be somewhat expensive, so keep that in mind. I know it says "pick up only: free" but it wouldnt be cheap, it weighs at least 50lbs and has two cases, one for the body, one fore the legs and pedals and such. thanks for looking. |

Ron, that's not the same guitar as the 1641 "George Sell" guitar on ebay.
Basically the "Fender Doubleneck" on C/L 2925 appears to be a converted 1000. Originally a D8, now someone has made a new body for the wraparound frame, added new keyheads and necks, and conveniently cut off the changer end in the photos so we can't see how the 8-to-10 mod was done at that changer. The pedals are very early 1000, and they've been remounted on an aluminum-channel pedalboard. The pickups may be early Sho~Bud ones (they used white plexi for awhile), and it's hard to tell what's underneath.
I'd call it a $500-$600 parts guitar. |

Donny,
Look at the changer again, looks like maybe a 1,000 changer? Looks like a "spare parts" job. Would like to see the underside.
