Thank you Joseph for such a fast reply. Do you have any idea of suitable gauges for the strings? Regards, _________________ LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN GEORGIA |

well I would guess you could get by with a E9th set of string all you are doing is taking the B on the E9th and making it the 6th note for E and thats C# I have a E13th tuning for a 8 string but not sure what you would do with the other 2 strings the 8 string E13th is g#,e,c#,b,g#,e,d,b. Bob that owns the forum give me that tuning for my 8 string and it is a very nice tuning, the gauges for that 8 string set up from top to bottom is 012,015,018,020,024,030,034,038 again that leave two out. _________________ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvuH7H8BajODaL_wy3_HSJQ |

tbhenry, were you asking about changing over from the older C6, which had the top G, as opposed to the newer which uses a top D? If so, make that top string a B. |
