Pat, this is only about 10 miles from me. Leona is a good friend and as for as I know I'm not playing anywhere so I may just have to go to this one. I just talked to Leona she said it was first come first serve.

What? No fiddle player? Leona and Ron do a country show and usually have a good fiddle player. It don't seem right without it. |

Glad to see the original post was edited to include not one, but two fiddle players. Sounds like a good show. Weldon is one of my favorites. |

Sorry..just got back into town and to my computer..hey Bill, look forward to seeing you. Rick you are so right!! Dont know if Leona would do a show without a fiddle..she grew up in a "fiddle" family, her father Vernon Helton was a wonderful fiddler, and she used to wake in the mornings to him playing fiddle...we continue in the tradition, in the morning when we stay at Leonas.. we may still be in pajamas sittin in the kitchen sipping coffee and pass the guitar around and play and sing. Warren and Wayne Helton are Leonas brothers and fine fiddlers....and i am in the dog house for not putting that in the post. When i left town Johnny Cox was staying at the house and i was trying to talk to him and type the post before i ran out the door...so it's his fault. This is going to be a lot of fun...hope you can make it there Rick. _________________ "basso profundo" |

Pat,
I'd like to be there, but on New Years Eve I'll be in Mexico, of all places. I've worked with Leona and Ron a couple of times when they've had gigs here in East TN. Great folks and real country music. I'm sure you guys will have a good time. "Hello" to Leona and Ron. |

We would love to be there, but first come first served, is Kinda risky for us to drive from Columbia and may not be able to get in. Any advice for us fellow musicians? Larry Baker and Jean DeVore. |

Larry, i'm confident we will have room...we were told the hall would handle about 600 people. Feel free to come a little early, officially we will open doors at 7pm. And i am sure we will be there even earlier than that to tweek things a little. _________________ "basso profundo" |

Randy....make sure you bring your own pajamas...cause mine are too big for ya, and Leona doesn't have an extra pink housecoat for you to wear. Your choosing to do this show has made it very special for all of us. _________________ "basso profundo" |
