I hear of Fat-back---Wraparound---Bolt-on.
What is this one. 1971 Emmons push-pull.

Paul,

You have what is known as the "cut tail" model. Material from the back of the neck has been cut, or machined away to allow clearance for the changer, which is attached to the cabinet (rather than "bolted-on" to the top of the neck).

paul...the cuttail model, as yours is, is one of the best, most consistently good for tone and tuning. don't start thinking you need something different.
i believe buddy emmons' 'blade', the most famous guitar in steel history, was a cuttail.

Thanks to all of you.
Chris I do not have any idea of getting rid of this
guitar. Clyde said it was the best sounding guitar
he had ever heard.
