I know where you're at because I've been there myself. I'm praying that all turns out well, and that this is the end of it.

Gary, glad to hear you're getting your guitar. I know it's been frustrating for you, but as you know things always have a way of working themselves out. Plus now I don't have to try and talk you into buying my Legrande ll. I decided to keep or maybe think about trading it for a Rains. Who knows. It would probably take me as long to find a good trade as it did for you to get this resolved. Anyway glad you got it resolved.

Gary,

Are they sending you a NEW guitar, or just your guitar after repair? If it's a new guitar, it has to make you wonder who placed an order for a guitar that won't be seeing one for a much longer time now.

Hi Randy . Do you know anyone who might be interested in a new Emmons LeGrande lll steel ??? I was told that it will be a new guitar body . Let me say this the guitar did sound sweet but there is such a sour taste in my mouth now that i would entertain selling it if i could get my money back ! The Derby is looking good now ! G.P.

There are people who order and buy steels, like the LaGrand or DERBY, new at a discounted price and resell them. They get a discount because they buy a couple or more every year.
They re-sell for a profit, sometimes at less than the factory price. I guess that makes them a dealer.
Many times you can get one shipped in less time than thru the builder, if you are not doing a total custom order.

Hi Bo . Funny that you are talking about dealers ! I didn't tell this before but now ? While we were at the Emmons factory they made the Ohio Steel Guitar Association of which i'm the President Emmons Steel Guitar Dealers for what thats worth ! All sales had to go through me and no one else . I asked for discount pricing as a dealer and never got one ! I also told them that we had to communicate and that dealers had to have priority over others that aren't dealers . But i also told them this has all gone down the river now ! Just thought i would through this in .
Oh Well

I always thought that if you where a dealler that you would advertise (type of guitar) them in your store or website, right? I don't think allsteel does that all though I may have over looked something, second if you are a dealler shouldn't the builder advertise their deallers and how to contact them on their website???

I don't think emmons has any deallers.

AJ,I did not mean to imply that allsteel was a LaGrand dealer... but they are dealers for the other brands on their website and they state that they "specialize in clean original, unmolested used Emmons steels.
I bought my Derby from them and know of others that did the same. If I had not specified color and my copedant, I am pretty sure I would not have had to wait at all for a new steel. Even with a "special order" it only took 6 or 7 weeks for delivery.
From what Gary said about being offered a "dealership" for LaGrand with no break on the price, it was an empty offer and Gary would have had to mark up the steels he "sold" to his club members just to break even.
Why would anyone want to place an order for anything from any company that has a reputation like this?
I know someone who paid in advance and waited close to 2 years for delivery.

I am an Emmons dealer and have been since about 2001 and have had very good service from them. I am truly sorry for any problems others might have encountered. I have a new custom ordered guitar for a customer being shipped out Friday or Monday. I trust that it will be another great Emmons guitar. I can try to post some photos. I have not yet learned how to do so.

If that's true, then watch all the leg-humpin' that takes place. Builders have made claims over the years that their guitars were "as good as" Emmons, but NO ONE has claimed that theirs was better. And "sounds almost like a push-pull" is STILL the ultimate compliment. So much so, that one company has dedicated itself to building Emmons push-pull clones, right down to the fretboard markers.
So Ron, I hope you're telling the truth, and I hope the Lashleys have time for all the accolades they will receive now.

Ron and Rebecca aren't really "computer people", and I can't fault them for that. The best way to communicate with them is to pick up the phone.

Gary we did take you in as a Dealer. Emmons Dealers know, the first step is to
place an order for something and then your discount is applied...FYI, we gave
you a discount on your PSG. Regards, Rebecca Lashley

Rebecca I suppose i'm somewhat confused . I just went to the Emmons website and saw the price of the guitar that i bought . It appears that anyone can get the same price that i paid ! Is this what you call a discount ?

ron and becky know i have no complaints
they send my parts when i order .they send the bill
with the order then i send a check.
if anything they should complain when im slow sometimes sending the check.
im not sure but i think have a room that you can set up and play your guitar and check it out
maybe with all the rush putting it together
maybe both of you missed the flaws in the guitar
if it was found at the shop maybe someone would have said oh hell we need to fix this and everbody would still be friends
(just a thought) not taking sides

Buddy . I did see something on the body but i thought it was mica glue . If you read the first post you will see that it was late and everyone was tired and wanted to go home . I am one of the most accommodating guys that you want to meet and everyone around here knows that . I never intended for this to be here but i felt it was my last resort . Communication is a must when you are in business . I felt that i was being neglected hence the reason for the post . I don't want any hard feelings with anyone and i'm sure with some communication things can be restored . G.P.
