I just picked up this Sho-Bud, I was told it's a '74. Still getting used to it, but so far very happy with it.

The one thing that I am not crazy about is the changer only has 2 rows, one raise and one lower. Is this a big deal as far as value? I know it's a little more work for set up and tuning, curious if this would scare anyone away from it.

Curious what it would be worth, I got it with the original case, which looks 35 years old, but functions fine for $1,100.

Still getting used to the KL's, they are a little different then the Carter Starter I was learning on.

Nice! I think Baldwin models came before the "Pro" series (so pre early 70's?), and round-fronts were early 70's and previous. So my guess is its probably late 60's? Also, I'm not sure that the guitar came with nylon tuners, since its rack-and-barrel. Anyhow, I don't own a 'Bud, this is just based off of what I've read on the forum. Sweet guitar though! Robert, you have a late '60's singleneck. And it's a good guitar--plenty of tone. The undercarrage, of course has been added to. But for that price, you still stole it. If it tunes up and plays you are squared away. Later down the road, you can always upgrade that guitar's under carrage and changer and modernise it. You have a fine guitar there. Cool

James C - thanks, actually I was soliciting info Smile

I knew I liked this guitar and options are slightly limited at this price range, so I knew I wanted this one, just wasn't sure what I had.

James M - Thanks. I love the tone so much, that I don't think I would have been angry had I overpaid a little, but it's nice to know that i didn't. Wink

Robert, if you were togo back to the original setup---barrels behind those racks, you could get any change you would ever need on the single/single fingers you have there(your two single rows that your nylon tuners go up against, that is). It's easy to convert back, once you aquire the parts missing. if you ever need some help, give me a shout. I have refurbed one a lot like yours for my daughter.
