Just received my black 83 (I Sang Dixie) ZB guitar back after sending it to Billy Knowles to have him go through it and redo it. Thanks Billy, for doing such a great job on it.
It looks just beautiful and plays even better than it did when it was brand new. What a terrific job, Billy, thank you so much. Look forward to seeing you here in San Antonio for the opening night of my "San Antonio Live show" along with my other great friends, Steinar Schroder, and Greg Jones. I have three seats reserved on front row center.!!
Your friend,
Tom

Tom
I can't tell you how pleased I am that you like the guitar. It is really a special guitar that sounds really great. The sound on Dixie is how a steel guitar should sound. The helper springs that we put on it really makes it play much less firm and smoother also. It was a pleasure to rebuild it for you.
Again thank you so much for your comments.

Hey Crowbear,
I see that you have a Zum just like the one that Bobby Boggs has for sale. What a beauty. Have a beautiful "Pair o Knees" evening.

That guitar is very very pretty. What does the inlay say on the top front of the guitar or is it just a light reflection? Happy Holidays. .jeff |

I must say that I failed to mention that before I shipped this guitar back to Tom I took it to Clyde Mattocks for him to play and put his stamp of approval on, which he did. Clyde has forgotten more about steel guitar than most of use remember on top of being one of the nicest people on the face of the earth. I am proud to count him amoung my dearest friends.
