David,

I've given your name out to a few bands.

Have you worked with Gatlin Mcadoo or Jim Stovall yet?

Thanks

I've heard this week that MacAdoo is broken up.
This guy here is looking for a steel, write him.
I'm working steady with Randy Allen and was curiously looking around to see what is out there.
Here is his page :

You can go hear my voice, etc.. at www.myspace.com/pocketacestx

That's me singing on all of those tracks on there... ENJOY!! If still interested, hit me on my cell at 972-974-0969

I recognize your steel with the flames somewhere, did you dothe MSA show in Dallas this past March ??

Dave - I'm at work now and can't listen to this guy but I forwarded to my girl and this is what she said:
Hey, honey! This dude has a real country voice and, to my discerning taste, cannot sing worth a darn! Kind of like a Hank Jr. wanna-be. You are way over-qualified for this band. Don't worry, though, you'll find something! And you can listen to this guy when you get home and see if your opinion differs from mine.

Dave - I just remembered that I heard the steel player with CODY McDonald band is leaving and not sure - I think it was Dick Wolf ?? !!
you might want to ask him.

Richard,

I was the steel player that recently left Coby Mcdonalds band.

I talked with Coby about David but he hired his ex-steel player back instead.

I'm now looking same as you, I just got fired along with the guitar player from a band that has been through 12 musicians in the past year.
Guess my turn was up ?? !! Whoa!

Randy Allen decided a guy who can play , steel, dobro, guitar, mandolin ... and sings was a better member in band than myself and I think he had a buddy guitar player so this is why we were shunned.

I just started looking on craigslist etc... to see what is out there.

I might have another potential gig I'm going to back out of and I'll be in touch to send that to you soon. Talk to ya soon Dave !! Very Happy

Hey Richard, I saw you had an ad on the Tx Allied Artist forum looking for work. I am looking for a steel picker. We have been using Ted Solesky and he is having to leave to tend to overdue health issues. We are booked almost every weekend through the rest of the year and need to find someone fast. the band is Pony Express. I have some really great guys in the group- no drama, and a good following. We stay pretty current and practice about once a week. This weekend we are playing at The Ranch House in Sachse and it will be Ted's last gig. Whoever I can get will start next weekend.Anyway are you available or do you know af anyone who might be interested? JonathanPony Express 214-226-5208 cell972-288-3704 home

Dave the second part of post was the original note sent to me about the Pony Express search for a steel.
I just put it up for you to get his phone number if you wanted it.

Anyhow, if your still looking here is an e-mail to write Jana Reed, contact for Ashley Austin if you would like it.

Good people and the girl is a great singer.
I had conflict doing the two band thing and a day job so I backed out of this one.

Very Happy Dave, Why not form your own band?? You are one hell of an entertainer as well as a picker, I know you tease about not liking singers, however I know you could find one you could like. You, a Bassist, and drummer, killer group man. You know everyone on earth, go for it. Cool
