Has anyone used a Korg D888 for recording?

I almost bought one and then found out about the issue the D888 has with saving files by reading other audio forum posts. It takes as long to save each new file as the actual time of recording. Record a live 45 minute set and it takes 45 minutes to save the file. You can't record anything else until it is done with the save.
I have a friend who purchased one and is a bit disappointed at his because he's experianced this firsthand also.
