Don't know if I can outdo Stu or not, but here goes. I got this little jewel off the Fedex truck yesterday afternoon and Mr. Back has outdone himself again! The finish on this guitar is beyond belief - NOT A FLAW - NONE-NOWHERE-NADA and the knees have the polish package which I was not expecting. And the sound is incredible - crystal clear with great note separation and I'm gonna have to practice 'cause you can't play sloppy on this guitar - it'll make you look like an idiot! I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking.

That's a beautiful guitar, Skip. Nice choice on the finish and the inlay. Chuck really does make great guitars.

Beautiful guitar. Chuck's craftsmanship is second to none and the guitar has super duper tone. I have True Tones on mine, great tone.

You just wait, Jack - I've already started searching out the wood for my D-10. I've got some maple sources amongst the guys who build flintlock rifles and they've got some stuff like you've never seen. I'm thinking about doing cocobolo aprons with quilted maple decks.

I'm looking forward to see what you come up with but
you'll be hard pressed to find a better looking steel than what you've got there. Whoa!

Mine's more subtle than yours and Stu's..so I had it pinstripped by a friend...the guy that used to used to stripe the old RusLer steels. Cool

Mighty pretty! I remember you mentioning Von Dutch - I was a big fan of him, Ed Roth and Stanley Mouse starting in about '58 or '59. Made extra money in HS painting Rat Fink T shirts for my friends.

So thats why I sound like idiot. I knew there was a reason.
Mighty pretty, guess you don't have to worry about the tiger stripe any more.

very pretty guitars.....i dig the hot rod pinstriping, too. desert rose seems to combine the old and new into a great package.

to be fair, i think most new steels are shipped in flawless condition...i've seen many beautiful brands and models.
