Thanks again Jim, for playing at the MassBash.
And thanks for having enough copies of "FOUR
TO THE BAR", so I could go home with one.
After the magnificent "FINALLY HERE", I said to myself, "that 'ole Jim' has arrived, and nothing furthur could expound on this creativity."
Man was I wrong; again.
Many of Jim's "FAV's" are also mine----------
like--------LOVE HAS NO PRIDE, ala for moi,
Bonnie Raitt.
NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN - WWWHHHHOOOAAA!!!!!!!
DIFFERENT DRUM - Until now, and I'll have to go back and check on this, didn't realize that some of the great "guitar" parts, were,
indeed, played on the steeel.
SURFER GIRL - For myself, at 56 - all I can say is - "What a glorious and great time to be alive." And what a great and glorious rendition.
CHEROKEE - I just love it when the rhythym changes. That's what it's supposed to do. Trip you up. Catch you off guard. Make you scared. That's what we want. That unknown.
Laff-In-The-Dark, Riverside Park, circa, A.D.
1960.
Thanks Jimbeaux...
You, I think, will be a wheel someday.
Get Jimmie's latest CD - "FOUR TO THE BAR",
and BE HAPPY!

Chip, Jimbeaux is already a 'wheel' down here in west Texas...We have "Finally Here" and both "Beats Walkin" CD's....I know youse guys (short for Y'all) had a good time at the Bash...Too far for this old cowhand to ride a horse, but to hear some of Cohen's western swing and pop, it would probably be worth the trip...
Let it be known, this old Indian thinks Jim Cohen is one of the most delicate and sensitive players of our style guitars...
Now, Cohen, pay me and when the hell you gonna' send this new CD to b0b so's we can purchase (short for buy) the darned thing?

I agree! Jim has produced another winner for sure! Jims selection of tunes is refreshing, and his performance is flawless. And if someone doesn't say that they "get" the pun on the inside panel soon, I'll be really dissapointed. |
