Very nice, indeed. Really like the wood grain.

I'm sure I missed something earlier, Ernie. What brand is this one, Williams? She's a beauty, whatever it is!

That's a beauty Ernie. I still want to shoot myself everytime I wonder why I didn't think to get my steel in fiddle back or birdseye. Getting close to a steel like that is like walking on a new car lot. Can't wait to see the finished product you end up with.

Ernie, I can't wait to see and hear it. Will he have it done by the December jam?

(This is a custom keyless made by Mike (Martin) Weenik here in Florida).

Thanks for the compliments guys, this has been a challenge but is coming along well. It's been a slow process but I am approaching the end soon. Jack, yes, the guitar should be ready for the Dec. jam. I had to replace the entire E-9 side deck when a small piece of the wood in part of the figure fell out and being it is to be stained I could not fill it with out being able to see it. So there was no other option. Martin.

Greg it is a Weenick, I designed the logo for it and had several made so Martin could put them on his other guitars, a circle with Mike at the top and weenick at the bottom, close to the white circle, then at the bottom in small type is the word guitar,

O---guitars, only at the bottom, all white lettering, Mike and weenick follow the circle close and guitar is close at the botom.
Going by his house tomorrow and will see it as is now.

Ernie, I dont know where my heads at but I discovered this thread just now! What a great looking guitar Martin is building for you. He told me earlier that he was doing this. I have been in touch with Martin a bit lately and he is a great guy to have in my corner. He willingly gives me info and hints on building steels. Guess I just want to say that he is a great guy all around.

I have been looking at the pictures and the finish on both metal and wood is way beyond anything I can dream of accomplishing with my yet limited tool supply.

Martin, you know I admire your workmanship. Thanks for your coaching and advice. To me it is priceless.
