Does any tab exist for the background fills on Faron Young's song, 'Step Aside'? Thanks.

Glen, I haven't done it yet, but was wondering if the version you wanted, was the older of the two that are up on youtube. I think the steel on that cut matches the song just a little better, older/mellower sounding. The fills on that one are really nice. Lot of fiddle on that song too, sweet. Could you post the youtube link you would like tabbed. DS

Is this it? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ajqyWCVHk8o

I always thought Faron was near the greatest singer that ever lived. His vocal style was unique to only him, and his music style of his bigger hits was, generally speaking, uptempo swing. Songs like - Occasional Wife, If I Ever Fall In Love With A Honky Tonk Girl, Leavin' And Sayin' Goodbye, and Step Aside - seem to typify Faron Young. Ya just can't beat those fiddles and steel guitar. I have hardly ever been able to find tab for these great songs. I would be very interested in any Faron Young tab available. Also, just payin' Faron his due respect here. Thanks. Zeke

Thanks, Dick. Actually, the version I was referring to is the original studio version. Lloyd green plays some sweet sounding background fills during the second verse of the song. A sample of that can be found in the Lloyd Green tribute section of this forum. Maybe you already know how to get there, but just click on Links, then to bOb's pics and misc, then to the Lloyd Green Tribute link, and then to Soundclips when you get there. Thanks.

Glen
