I stopped by Bobbe's last Wednesday to get a new Hilton pedal and while I was there, Bobbe decided to make some videos, which I thought was a cool idea.
When we inquired as to what he was going to play, he said he would just play whatever came to mind. No rehearsal or nothing, just sat down and knocked out 3 tunes on the old Bigsby!!
It is great to hear and see him playing again and a great treat to hear the old guitar of yesterday still making wonderful music. Keep those videos coming!!

I believe "spelled" is spelled S-P-E-L-L-E-D.
Could be wrong though.........maybe it is a Kolifornia thing. Laughing

It's still "spelled" and it's still "Shelby."

No offense Mark-san, but as an English teacher for close to 30 years, I know that. This is a joke between Herr Ivey and me. :- )

Hey Bobbe,
Speaking of playing, I played your Soulful Steel cd all the way home and back to Oak Ridge. Mighty fine pickin there young man!!!!
That cd has a little something for every steel lover the world over. Nice choice of tunes, but I can't decide if I like the tune "On Broadway" or "Thanks A Lot" better. They are all played so well.
OK, when is the next jazz cd coming out??

Working on the next classic "Ole Standards" CD now!
Picking out the big band tunes from the forties and fifties. Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller, Glen Gray, Ray Anthony, Felix Slack Orchestra, Sy Oliver, Steve Allen Band, Ted Heath, Paul Desmond type tunes. Stardust, Elevation, Chances Are, Funny Valentine, I'm in the Mood for Love, Stormy Weather with a tasty arrangment of Sentimental Journey to mention a few. Just my little Jazz Quintet, steel, bass, drums and guitar. Very much like my: "As Time Goes By" CD.

(My trombone playing is still horrible!)

Thank you my good friend Wally.

Gary! Yep, a gig tonight, my first four hour job after the major chop, I need the job as a forced practice session. I've done several youtube clips and a couple of steel shows but no long endurence gigs like I'll be doing tonight. Lord knows I need this!
