I am a newbie on the forum. I just wanted everyone to know that I think this is the best site I have ever been on. Also I want to know what the difference is between the c6 tuning and b6. I just bought a new MSA U-12 I need to figure out how to play the b6 part of it. Any help is most appreciated. _________________ MSA Tour Pro, Emmons PP, Telobar, Quilter TT15, Quilter TT12, Benado Steel Dream, BJS Bars.

Welcome Randy.... I haven't been a member very long either just a couple of months but I've had a Universal since 1984. I play it most of the time. The B6th tuning is played just 1 fret higher than the normal c6th. To find the chord positions I think of hitting my d lever and playing 2 frets below the a and b pedals down position; for example to play a G chord (G6th)lower your E's and play on the 8 fret. Your 2nd string is the same as the first string on the C6th neck and from the 4th string down to the 12th is the same as the c6th (other than being in the B6th tuning). Your 5,6 and 7 pedals are the same as the c6th but the 8th pedal on a d-10 is on my 4th pedal. I would suggest checking out Jeff Newman E9/B6th course for a better explanation. Again welcome to the forum.
