| pete..on patty's website there is a song called 'on your way home'...do you know who wrote it, and did you play on it? i really dig that type of song...her voice really does it to me! |

Great song! It was written by Matraca Berg and Ronnie Samoset who also wrote Patty's old hit "I'm That Kind of Girl".
I wish I had played on that record, that's Russ Pahl doing some of the cool stuff he does using delays, some really different sounds for steel that fit the song perfectly. Russ is really creative and plays on a lot of great records, I'm surprised he doesn't get mentioned on the forum more often. |

thanx pete. well, you are a great player as well, but i find it interesting to hear so little about russ also. i first heard him on the gretchen wilson cd and actually thought it might have been john hughey on 'when i think about cheatin'..or whatever that song was..
anyway thanx, keep up the good work...i envy you getting to play with patty! |
