Nashville has great steel players like Buddy,
Paul and Tommy White, but we have Mike Smith.
It sure was great that Mike moved out here.
Mike is awesome!

You sneaky boys you. What Fred and Danny forgot to say was that they personally didn't do any picking in spite of the fact that I really tried to shame them into it! I took Jerry Brightman to see Danny awhile back and even though Danny's tuning and pedal setup is r-e-a-l-l-y different, Jerry went for it..did a not so bad job too. Now me...no, I had better sense than to try but I'll move on.

Anyhow, thanks for hangin with me that evening. It was good to see you guys. (Thanks for the comments too). The summer's are a bit slower than the rest of the year but anyone in this area is welcome to come do a hang. My schedule can be found at www.mikeandt.com .

Ok, now my name is in this I've been a "huge" fan of Mike's playing, and our freindship dates back to the early 70's...

Mike approaches music his way, which I commend him on...with his style that he so succesfully does...I watched his performance in Dallas this year, and it was astonishing and flawless...and what he played, wasn't an easy task to perform...especially live!

As for Danny's guitar, your right, we had better leave that subject rest...he he.

Thanks Fred for reminding us that this needs to be said about Mike more often...

Mike,

I just hear some cuts from Dreams of India, and I am astounded at the level of your musicianship! The new cuts have a great "fusion" sound to them.

Will the CD be available at the St. Louis show from Scotty or someone?

thanks,
Drew
