A Laser Finish for a PSG or Console Steel ?

I'm fascinated with that laser etched material you can get nowadays for wrapping Christmas parcels, etc.

Has anyone thought of covering an instrument in that material ? It would certainly have an interesting appearance to the audience, especially if there were strobe lights or other unusual lighting on stage.

Alan,I have a friend up here who put some gift wrapping paper on a P bass and then sprayed a clear finish on it and it looks great,I think that it would like cool on a steel guitar.I'll try to get a photo,Stu Winking
