I have the 2nd G2 that Mullen Guitars made. Placed my order before they were being produced. Its a D-10 and just a marvellous guitar. It was my seventh guitar and my favourite. Well it was a bit heavy so I got another single neck guitar built and have just received the pic from Mike tonight. Just couldn't help but post this one.

Under the spotlight, that chrome apron could blind the first four rows at a concert ...... Shocked

must be nice to be rich!

cool finish....this is really going to confuse people who think 'steel' guitars are steel guitars.

back in the old days that back neck would see some real line chopping activity.

Thanks for the nice comments. Although the first G2 was my 7th guitar I do not own all seven of them presently. Like alot of folk, I aquired a steel guitar young in life but never took it seriously for the first several years...just something about hitting mid-life. I can't imagine that I am the only one to notice that bar control is better on C6th because there just is more room for your wrist to drop below where it would be allowed to if you played E9th on a double body guitar. I believe I recall Jeff Newman writing something about this many years ago. The split pad should allow better bar control, it don't look that bad either and I will probably have some decoration to place there...amazing what can be created at one of the "Sticker Master" type stores. The apron is polished aluminium...close to chrome but not quite. And Pat, I live a couple hours away from you. If you leave your e-mail address I will contact you or if you know Al Brisco which most of us Canadians do I am sure he would make contact for us.
