I would like to see a book of instructions for, fill-ins, turn-arounds, Chord progressions, etc., but not in tablature but in notation. Is there such a book?

Hi, Duane, the only book for Pedal Steel I've seen in (mostly) standard notation is the old Rusty Young book, mostly transcriptions of his steel parts from Poco records. It has a little tab, but mostly standard notation. Not much on basic steel styles, and usually expensive when you can find one.

Scotty's books published by Mel Bay contain both tab and standard notation. You can get them from our forumeister b0b.
