I think the question has been asked before but I can't find the thread, so, let me ask it again. I have a D8 stringmaster and when switching necks I notice that the volume level on the top neck is much lower than on the bottom neck. I've been told that the volume output should be pretty much the same when switching necks. I've got two possible sources from friends that would cause this . The first has to do with proper grounding and the other is the adjustment height of the pickups. Do others agree with these possible solutions or is there something else I should look for? |

Aloha Andy,
The pickup height adjustment would be the most likely cause. Are the blend controls set the same way on each neck?

If all the above checks out it could be the 3way switch as well. It's a pain to check 'cuz you have to pull the strings of half the guitar but.......might be worth it.
