I was wondering if some1 could take some time and tab this out for me and other newer psg players. I've been trying it for a few days now, and its driving me up the wall. It sounds so easy, but , i just can get it. Im probly making it more difficult than it is. Anyway, I hear a few moves in it that i would like use in other songs. Thanks All.

If that vid is of actual playing* you're half way home. You can see what fret he's on and infer the knees. The pedals should be obvious.
Show us what you've got tabbed and I'll see what I can fill in.
Charlie
* It looks like they're syncing to canned music, but the steeler may be playing the song anyway for effect. _________________ Yes officer, I know I smell like beer. I'm not drinking it, I'm wearing it! |

I find the best way to tab is to record the audio, and then break it down into segments, to get to hear the notes more clearly, and find them on the fretboard in the most favourable position for me
This, of course, means that I am not watching the video, and my positions may be totally different than the player is actually doing, even though I'm fairly sure that I've got all the notes, (maybe not all, but somewhere near )
In the following tab, the G lever lowers the sixth string a full tone

THis is a tab I got a couple of years ago that matches pretty close to what Paul played on the Martina McBride Timeless cd
Enjoy

How differently players hear and see a phrase being played. Here's another one for the mix.
Martina McBride-Help Me Make It Through The Night-Steel Break-Not note for note.
