No not the Lloyd Green version, Joe Nichols had a cut on it and I think Dan Dugmore played the lead break, it is very tasteful has anybody tabbed it? |

Check with Billy Cooper Music. He has it tabbed in a course "Country Steel Guitar" Volume 1. I believe it has "I'll be there, Healing Hands of Time" & one other song I can't remember. Click on the sample mp3 and it'll take you to an album that has the song listed that you can listen to to see if it's the version you want. Billy picks them good, tho. His tab is easy to follow, too.
Here's a link to a Jimmy Day version tabbed by Ricky Davis that is outstanding:

Ray, that was actually my uncle Terry Crisp on that cut for Joe. That was the last thing he ever recorded for Joe before they let let him go. It is a good one aint it? |

Hi Ray
How're yer doin' ?
Terry's version and Lloyds is of course superlative, but for sheer poetry and emotion on the steel James Clayton Day is unbeatable. He hangs on some notes and slightly delays on others. Absolutely transcends the physical.

Brett,
Thanks for letting me know that, I was told it was Dan Dugmore. But it is one of the best constructed steel breaks I have ever heard,Dick Sexton has tabbed it out from the clip I sent him and some of the techniques used just really take some doing. If you talk to Terry tell him he has a major fan of his playing.

It also begs the question. Why would you let someone go who can play like that???

Ray, thanks for the plug. It is amazing and finding that droning intro lick, was worth the effort. It's not note for note, just close. DS |

Ray, I've got the intro up on the other Farewell post. Thinking about putting the whole thing up as a Beginners Note. Seems to be some interest there and yes, it will be challenging. DS |
