Hi Whiz..can you explain how I change fonts on Windows XP Pro..By jove, I've found the secret..thanks anyway for all your past help you are valuable to this Forum

Thanx, Well, now that issue has been resolved here's another..I can't apply spell check to my XP Pro..I do beleive I was born too long ago. Can you help me on this?

In case anybody else was going to ask that question, here is the answer.

  • Right-click on an open space in the Windows Desktop
  • From the options menu highlight and left-click select "Properties"
  • Click on the "Settings" tab on top
  • Click on the "Advanced" button
  • Under "Display" > DPI (Dots per Inch) change the Font size to "Large Size" using the flyout options, or choose a Custom size option and find the best font size from the Percentage scale
  • Click Apply
  • Click OK
  • Click once on the Desktop and press the F5 key to refresh the desktop view. If the font size doesn't change (for all programs) at this time you may need to log off and log on again, or reboot.
