Joshua Motohashi's Self Portrait is fantastic! I was afraid this was going to be just another pedal steel CD, with yet another version of Back Home Again in Indiana. Wrong! He puts new spins on that tune, as well as Undecided, Stompin' at the Savoy, Sweet Georgia Brown, and the Xmas song Sleigh Ride. This is seriously great music.

I couldn't agree more. When I heard Joshua with Lorrie Morgan, I purchased his CD from him and after listening to it, I contacted his record company so I could make it available on my website.

What I like about Joshua's playing is he takes a fresh approach to the music with a nod to the past. This is a fantastic CD.
