I believe that the pic of Earl and Hank Corwin is one I took in the early 70's when they were both with Jim Ed Brown. I sent the picture to Earl about five or six years ago. |

Hi Bo,Howard's first store was in Frankford next to the old Merben Movie Theatre. He relocated the store a little north going toward Bristol sometime during the 70's. Are you saying the second store is closed? I am shocked! His son Bobby inherited the store after Howard passed away in 1998, he was 88 years old. Anyway, glad you enjoyed my web site.John Floyd did a fine job. After I posted this response I tried to call Bobby Herbert at his home number in Trenton and the last number I had for the store and both numbers were disconnected. |

Earl played our guitar show this past weekend what a monster player as well as a very good friend he even asked me to sing on his part of the show a total surprise to me but a pleasure. He held his own with the likes of Brent Mason, Andy Reiss ,and Paul Mosley. _________________ www.southernilproductions.com |

Hi Bob, glad you enjoyed the site. My friend John Floyd did a wonderful job. I am very happy you came through the surgery, sorry you had to lose a part. I could not make the show that Sweeny had for you down town, I had to work. Hope to see you soon my friend. |

Hi Don, I will be tied up with the Louise Mandrell Christmas Show at the Opryland Hotel from Nov. 15 thru Dec. 25. No solo work, just part of the band. At my age I too am surprised I can get anything from my guitar. |

Hi Dave, thank you very much for the compliment. I have some very fond memories of working the club circuit around Doylestown, Bristol, Warminster and Trenton before I was drafted into the army in 1966. Don't know if you knew any of these people,Vern Godown,Dick Rich, Les Severs,Jo Ann Brown,Bernie Chainco,Jim Lebak,Sonny Sleeter? George Edwards and Big John Bectal were both playing steel there when I left home and before they moved to Nashville.I have been in contact with Ben Lawson and he has been working with Les Severs, lately.Sorry to be so long winded. |
