Far out!
Thanks for the heads-up. Their website is a bear to navigate and I didn't know they made stands for the SXLG1. If they get the lap steel back in stock before they run out of stands I'll get me a stand too.

Do you know the dimensions of the Rondo/stand?
I'm considering using this for my Rickenbacher B6 and want to know if it'll fit.
Thanks,

I just ordered a stand for giggles I guess. It might work out for other steels I own. I'll post dimensions and hopefully pics when it arrives late next week.

Sounds like Rich will soon have himself a 'project' stand. Maybe he can post it here for a group effort. |

For the price, it's a good basis to modify to fit something else. |

Bill - Ron,
Exactly what I thought. A couple of my guitars may drop right in, maybe. If not, I'm a fairly handy guy. I'm more concerned about it being a cheap pile of junk and too tinny to modify. We will see.

The stand has some heft to it. It is stable raised up to 42 inches where I have it.
It holds a SX lap steel so the lap doesn't move. It is a snug fit. The legs aren't thin metal.
I think you could bend/remove the tabs that are fitted to the SX lap shape and use velcro or a non skid mat on the stand platform to hold other lap steels.
For the price, if it can't be modified for your lap, it would make a dandy plant stand.

Rich, if it doesn't modify easily, do post pix so we can help you mess it up. |
