I have an old National 6 string lap steel that uses the cable that screws onto the guitar. I need a new cable.

There is a bunch of stuff like that on this page. I have ordered from them. Kind of odd on the phone, but the stuff gets to you fast.

Sam Ash Music can order the Switchcraft connector for under $2 if you are handy.

Switchcraft #332A is an Amphenol-phono adaptor that will allow you to use standard guitar cables and preserve the integrity of the instrument. There are those who don't like these however I've found them to be a good compromise between making special cables vs. altering the instrument.
