Folks like Rick Alexander, to name but one, have a number of rare and envious talents.....in the realm of steel guitar music and its promotion.

I've been asked and have finally found ONE television show from back in 1964. While it's NOT a show stopper or Stars of Tomorrow type of clip, it does show the olde Bigsby Quad-8 in action.

The PROBLEM: I don't know how to get a short cut from a VHS video that's one half hour long, in the right format to install on YouTube or whatever.

What I need, and I can't help but feel others in our Forumite community might also desire to know, is the very real, step-by-step instruction on how to get their video onto YouTube. No abreviated version here, but rather, a factual, step by step version of HOW TO DO IT.

ANY TAKERS?

Now the steps

1. Take the video to a conversion place. Get it transfered into DVD.

2. Open the DVD and follow these steps for a MAC:

3. Open the DVD and follow these steps for a PC:

4. Upload on YouTube. That part is pretty easy, but here you go:

MATTHEW.........many thanks.

I've watched so many but never even gave it a tho't to ever put one on there.

Your 'non-sarcastic" and truly helpful remarks make this a true learning experience. Too bad some of the newer Forumites never learned that this FORUM used to be a place of learning for many of us truly interested in bettering our technique or whatever.

THANKS AGAIN!

Gee Ray, someone just taught you something, and yet you say that our forum is no longer a learning place. I don't get it.

Ray,

Thanks for the nice comments. I do tech support for to cover what my gigs don't bring in.

I have found that there are some great video instruction on YouTube.

If you have any question that you would like to ask me directly feel free to email
me.

I forgot to mention that if you have 100s of VHS you can buy a VHS with a USB port and transfer it directly to the computer. I have not used one of these, but they do exist.
