hey fellas, i was cruisin around the web and saw that music go round in lilburn georgia has a black single neck stringmaster for sale at what seems to be a good price. i think it may be the longer scale length too. i have nothing at all to do with music go round, i just thought someone might be interested.
cheers

ps, if anyone buys this it's poor form not to give the forum a finders fee... _________________ ....lloyd green is a steel guitar hero... |

24.5" scale length. I would say this is the outside neck of a triple neck, as the pickup plate has no holes for volume and tone knobs (which would be the inside neck) or pickup a selector (which would be the second neck). |

With the thicker body, it probably sounds better than a standard single neck StringMaster.
Minus any hidden problems, I'd say it's worth $500, as a player's guitar. |

Probably worth more as parts than a player. |

I wouldn't spend $500 on it, but I wouldn't think another player was crazy or had gotten "ripped off" if he bought it at this price.
Me, I'm a little bit too picky perhaps.

Dang if that doesn't look exactly like the 3rd neck of a Quad that I swapped for a pristine white Supro Twin 6. It went to Georgia.
It has no controls, which means it's not the 3rd neck of a T-8. And if it's the same one I had, it has no leg sockets either - a T-8 neck would have 2.
Also the one I had was painted black just like this one.
If it is, it's a great sounding neck. I originally paid $400 for it about 4 years ago.
Some pics of it are here - see if you think it's the same one. _________________

I bought some parts from a fellow off of e-bay a few years ago and he threw in a neck.
I routed a place on the bottom for a 3rd leg.
This picture was taken during construction:

That's the one Rick- it went to another player and evidently he packed it off to MGR. I am going up there this afternoon to see what I can do to reacquire it- it IS a great sounding neck and well worth the asking price. Heaven forbid it gets parted out, it has amazing tone and deserves to be played. |

Good, I hope you get it back - it's a sweet neck.
It's worth more left as is than it would be parted out. |

This is the neck I bought off of Ebay and rebuilt with stringmaster parts I took off a homemade pedal steel I also bought on Ebay. It is a very good sounding guitar, light ash body and all original stringmaster parts. I sold it to Rick because I was playing my Rickenbachers at the time. This is a good deal if only for the parts but it is an excellent player. |
