I have a broken end piece on my 70's model GFI steel guitar. This piece is made of aluminum and is the end that the levers and springs attach to. It is cracked just above the leg where the screw hold it together. Any suggestions how to fix this or find a new end piece would be most appreciated.

I think Bobbe Seymour can get you a new piece for it.

Mr Hodges,
If Mr Bobbye is not able to resolve this problem ( and he is a magician at taking care of customers needs ),contact Mr Gene Fields. He is the owner, builder of GFI Guitars. He has relocated his business to Marshfield ,Missouri. He will be able to give you some helpful info.
If all else fails, find someone that can weld aluminum, and talk to them. Some of these guys can weld aluminum foil together..( well, almost )..
Good luck..

Darrell,
At the top of this page, click on the "Links," then click on manufacturers, then under pedal steel, click on GFI musical products. This will take you to Gene Field's new web site, with a phone number and e-mail contact. Good luck with your repair.

Thanks fellas,

I have sent Gene an e-mail and I have tried to call his new number. When I dial the new number I get the message that this call cannot be completed as dialed. I'm sure he has his hands full getting set up in a new building. I know how that can be!
