developed a hum i can cut it off it will quit then it returns in a little bit nothing hooked up but amp any suggestions thanks

Considering the close proximity of the speaker magnet and transformer magnet to the reverb pan inside the small cabinet, our manufacturing method is to place the pan towards the rear of the cab with the input and output connections facing towards the speaker baffle. Please ensure that this is the method that was used.

My NV112 has a hum when the reverb is set above 4. The higher the setting, the louder the hum.
Anybody got the answer?

See Mike's post on the reverb pan and how close it is to the speaker magnet.
But, as much as I'm a Peavey fan, every Peavey that I've owned had some hum in the reverb. My fix is that I don't use the reverb in my Peavey amps (I use a POD XT and use the reverb in that).
With modern electronics there is no reason to continue using a mechanical spring reverb unit. |

| IF YOU PLACE EFFECTS UNITS CLOSE TO THE PICKUP END OF YOUR GUITAR YOU SOMETIMES GET A HUM FROM THAT AND JUST THINK YOUR AMP IS CAUSING IT . TRY MOVING IT AWAY OR PLACE ON THE LEFT SIDE.OF YOUR GUITAR |
