Well, I'm probably not the best qualified person to reply to your fine post but I'll settle for being the first.

The first time I ever saw him, was on an Austin City Limits show featuring Willie Nelson and HIS FRIENDS.
I th't he was a comic. He looked so olde and withered. Didn't do much.

BUT then, years later, I saw him on a TV Show with Clint Strong on lead g'tar and have been a fan ever since. He's a great rhythm man and with CLINT, they make a whole band with just the two of them.

Give a listen to "Country Jazz Singer". I'll be you'll enjoy it too.

Freddy was once called "Nashville's best-kept secret". He's a great writer, and has done a lot of stuff for Hag, Jones, and others. His first appearance on ACL (sadly, no longer available) with Hag and Willie was his best. Somewhere, I have it on tape - no steel, but an hour of the best country music you've ever heard. Very Happy

Thanks guys! That's quite a resume'. It appears Freddie might have a slight affliction like Parkinson's or a slight stroke; but you can tell he's still got game behind the mic. Thanks, Greg
