This is a song that I first heard Emmylou Harris do. The first steel part is all MSA 12 string C6 SuperSlide. You can hear use of the open D string near the end of this part. Another big advantage of this tuning is all the open strings that are available even when not playing in the open key of C.

The last part is all pedal steel, MSA Legend played through a Fender Steel King, Boss RV-5 and Goodrich pot pedal. The E9th chords on the end of the song use the 9th string half tone lower and the 10th string full tone lower on the same knee lever. I used the split tuning on the 5th string a bit with the B to Bb knee lever and the pedal A full tone raise.

The rhythm track includes drums, accoustic guitar, bass guitar and mandolin. I left the lead fiddle, mandolin and guitar parts in for fill.

Thanks for the reply Stu. There's so much great music posted on here anymore compared to just a few years ago. Recording seems to be just as much fun for everyone as playing out live. What a great place this is!
