Here's Doug Seymour on pedal steel with Vern Johnson singing a song that Vern co-wrote with Joseph Vario. I am posting this for Doug who told me he used his D10 Zum steel on this back in the 1998 time frame.

Greg-Thanks for the link. Good old Doug did spend time working on pedal tunings, just like we all did in the old days, but that didn't hurt his steel playing on C6. Good doing Doug..Keep the faith..al.SmileSmile Cool

Oct 5th, back in Jamestown, NY, I got to visit a little with Doug. Haven't seen him in 40 years. Doug knows nearly everything about the steel and about music. He was a hero in my younger days.

Also Verne Johnson. He played a few years at the Busti Fire Hall every Sat night when I was young. His version of the guitar boogie shuffle knocked me out and my favorite song he did was "I am nothing more than just your old standby." He was at the Traditional Country Musicians Associations jamboree as well.

Joe Vario I knew well, tho he is gone now. It is wonderful beyond words to visit back home and see your old hero's and musicians you grew up with after 40 years. I gotta make this a habit.
