The UPS truck drove up yesterday and out popped the driver carrying my new Rains. I purchased one about three months ago and I received it within 6 weeks of my order. This one I received within 6 weeks as well. I liked the first guitar so much that I just had to have another. Not because I have a lot of monies(because I don't) but I do play out and I do some session work and it's just nice to have a second guitar so you don't have to keep tearing down and setting up one. It's also very nice if they both play and sound the same so there is no adjustment period. I chose the Rains guitar for many reasons and would be happy to elaborate on that if anyone should wish to e-mail me and simply ask. And if you would like to talk about how you can get one I can help you out with that too. I am not a Rains dealer and to my knowledge they don't have any dealers. I will be doing some recordings in the near future and will share some of that with you so you can hear what they sound like. The construction of the guitar is absolutely second to none. Hats off to Gary Carpenter and his crew. So here's the picture of my latest Rains Guitar

Ray....she's a beauty....have fun playin' her, 'cause they do play and sound just fine....wish I could afford to get another one, too....because I'd have another one also.....a "RAINS" that is. As far as I'm concerned, they're the best on the market today. Congrats on the new guitar......and looking forward to hearing some of the recording work that you do with it. HAL

Ray, That's one nice looking guitar. The new design on the front apron is a real looker. Somewhat the same as on another brand, but still different enough to be unique. Also, they look so nice and solid in the changer end. Oh to have the bucks...

Very nice Ray. I would order another one, But Gary just doesn't want to tool-up for a 12 string model. Enjoy !

Ray,
Beautiful instrument...and it looks especially nice with the view of NC in the background from your patio. I really enjoy my Rains, as does everyone, that owns one. Congrats on your second Rains by Gary Carpenter.

I played it for a long time last night and the more I play it the more I like it. Doggonnit it's just one sweet axe. Paul, the answer to your first questions is yes...you can always play any guitar I have....just leave a few of those licks of your behind. Second...yes I'm cheap...but you already knew that. Actually, I almost never get a chance to use the back neck with the guys I play with and even the session work, so I made a decision to simply not carry to around anymore. Heck I can barely keep up on the front neck Very Happy
Joe I can't wait for us to get together and jam some. You let me know when we can get together and I promise I will put some serious time aside for us.

Bill I have no doubt that it will sound as remarkable with a SK as with all of the other amps I have played it through. Simply put it is the best sounding and playing guitar that I have ever had the pleasure of sitting down to. I have received countless e-mails with lots of questions and they have been great questions too. Questions I would like to ask before buying a new axe. Keep em coming and I will keep answering them
