Who is Bobbe Lee?
Seriously, votes like this are flattering but they have no influence on the HOF board. I don't desire to be in the SGHOF, and frankly my opinion is that the honor should go to people who play steel more and talk about it less than I do. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. b0b, I usually find myself agreeing with most views that you post, but not this time . Few could be more deserving, so I'll second Ron's motion. |

I do believe there is a spot for B0B in the Hall Of Fame, but he may have to wait in line because there are so many others ahead of him, also time has a way of takeing care of these people who deserve to get in.

b0b -
You mustn't forget that there are several categories of achievement which contribute to the validity of one's nomination into the SGHOF. If your contribution falls into but one of those categories then it should carry a ton of weight. Your self-effacing demeanor endears you to us however we shall not be swayed. I voted "yes" in Ron's poll.
Respectfully,
Richard. |

B0b,
You are humble indeed. I do agree with, and understand your reply. With this said, let me make it very clear that when your server is down I'm not a happy camper. You absolutely do deserve an award of some type for having a huge contribution to the PSG industry. It could be a new category for which you are the first voted in. You wouldn't mind that would you? |

Crowbear, you are correct. I was there the year Scotty presented b0b with an award. b0b, I forget the exact wording but you certainly did deserve the award. Would you please refresh my memory.

b0b, I don't agree with the "people who play more steel and talk about it less" analogy of yours. You're very deserving to be in the HOF. It's about people who not only play but people who promote the instrument and give it their all. One fine example in the HOF in Leonard T. Zinn. Probably most of the folks have never even heard Leonard play steel. I heard him in '98 at Carl Dixon's get together in Atlanta and in my mind Leonard's a fine, wonderful steel guitarist but that's not what got him in the HOF. What got Leonard there is his devotion to the instrument and the fact that he's the staff rhythm guitarist at the St. Louis Show and many others. He's always there making a large unselfish contribution to the music behind the major players and even on the talent show(s). Personally I think he was very deserving of the honor as I think you are also. There's never been and probably never will be another facet of promoting steel guitar love or interest than the Steel Guitar Forum. Remember, you created this Forum and I'd be first in line to vote you into the HOF if it was up to me. I've been honored to meet people and players I never would have met or probably never have known if it hadn't been for the forum It's brought me in contact with friends from my old days in SoCal and also there's been at least 4 or 5 occasions when people on the forum were in town and contacted me and on some of those occasions we'd wind up playing a gig or two together. I can't say enough about how valuable this forum is to the steel guitar world. The worth of what's been done with the SGF can't me measured.........JMHO.......JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

I think it is time to make up T-shiirts and start selling them at the shows saying"
on the front... Elect b0b Q for the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame"....On the back it will say
I am so good looking I have over 7000 spoiled kids"
And they all "steeled" my heart

Without a doubt, I have mentioned before numerous times that b0b should be inducted into the SGHOF.
I think in his way, with the Steel Guitar Forum he has contributed to the steel guitar world in a huge and significant way.
He has done as much or maybe more for steel players than others who have already been included in the SGHOF.
