This meeting was dedicated to the memory of Billy Phelp's Mother. Good crowd, great picking. Bobby Bowman graced us with some great old gospel songs and swing numbers. The Jam consisted of : Ray Beale :S-12 Williams, Gene Sharp : S-12 Carter, Jody Sanders: D-10 Pedalmaster, Bobby Bowman: D-10 Emmons, and Marty Holmes: S-12 MSA. Everyone played great. Thanks to the backup band. Billy Phelps on bass and lead, James Harvey on bass, and Rusty Rutledge on drums. Question and answer part of the program was very informative. Thanks to all the pickers, and to everyone for their support. Thanks to The Music Center for their help on the mail out. There will not be a May meeting due to conflict with the OSGA show in Tulsa. Looking forward to the June meeting as we will have a "swap meet" and a "musicians garage sale". See you there, Jody, Billy, Patty, and Bob. |

Hi Jody,
Really enjoyed the jam after I got my gun unjammed. Proves I need to make all the jams I can.
About the June meeting, will there be a jam, or will it be mostly swap meet/steel guitar garage sale? I feel if everyone is like me, I'll have plenty to bring. It should draw a lot of interest. What time will it start?
