I was asked if there was a steel manufacturer in or moving to Arkansas.
Anyone know?
I haven't kept up.

BMI Beck Musical Instruments are still headquartered at Scranton, AR. Don Fritsche is still building fine custom BMI steel guitars. I recently purchased my first Keyless BMI Steel Guitar.

Next, GFI Gene Field Instruments has relocated from Arlington, Texas to Marshfield, MO where I teach art in the public school. I also have been out to GFI and toured their new facilities. Gene Fields and his son in law have a great factory set up for their custom steels too.

So both companies are alive and well! I might add that both Gene and Don are great guys!

GOD bless!

Terry,

Where is GFI located? If you get a chance for another tour, I'd kind of like to go, too.
