WOW!

Jerry Dube From Hinckley Mn. will be there. What a smooth steel man. Quiet guy, except behind the steel. Missed him last year.

It's always a great time. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again.

That guy on the end with the white shirt looks devious, don't he ;

You mean Grampaw Jones. He looks sly, but he's really harmless, until he gets behind a steel guitar.

You got to look out for the guy in the centre

Hi Ya'll
I'll be in the Regina area for some session work on the 19th and the 20th. Do I need reservations to attend the show? How much are the tickets? Are there any rooms at or near the show? Ah, Shucks, somebody e-mail me with the info.

Hi Billy. The Mid-Canada show is in Winnipeg, about 350 Miles East of Regina. Also, the event is on the 25th & 26th.

Billy, I answered your e-mail

Billy
Just go straight east 'till you hit Winnipeg, stop off for 2 days and take in the show, then you can go straight south to Texas. I think that's a good plan????

You can count me in... I'd love to see this show. I've heard good things about it and now I'll get to see for myself. I'll be coming up through Winnipeg on the way up.
I'll post my schedule as soon as I'm sure of the route.
PS: If you need a singer, lead guitarist or bass player on the show, I'd be happy to fill in anytime.
God Bless You All,
Billy Phelps

I just got an e-mail from Patty Phelps (his wife?). Billy will not make the steel show in Wpg. His mother died and he's on his way back home.

I'm going to post this under "our Extended Family" if no one else has already done so.

Shucks fellas, I'm leavin' in the AM. It's a long way for me, about 1400 clicks round trip. I should be there sometime in the early evening. A day early to rest up. I'm gettin' old ya know. It also looks like I'm comin' alone. I'll be playing on my 10 string non-pedal Carlyn again this year. This damned little thing grows on me. Youse guys take it easy and be careful.

Got a gig to play tonight, so my steel should be still warm for tomorrow night.

Billy Jones should be pulling into Winnipeg in the next hour or so.

Dean neeley has hit the sack already. He has to rise at 4am to catch the plane. Arrives in Winnipeg at 10:30 am.

Sir Geo will be leaving in the morning. 12 hour drive.

Man! It'll be good to see them again.

Yes, Joe, it's always great to see all the friends made in Winnipeg over the years. I'm all loaded up, and will leave right after my school bus route. (up at 04:30 and will be rolling towards Winnipeg at 09:00)
