This is a must see. Stop whatever you are doing. Put this on and watch.

It was almost too much for me. Absolutely beautiful.

What a stellar performance.

Such a light touch and who said it had to be otherwise? Adair has to be the top steeler down there, with the most work, I'll bet. He could cut it anywhere. Thanks for putting us on to this , Matthew.

Dick,

Adair is for sure the top steeler in So. Am., he is not that only one but he would have to come really far north to get any competition.

Impressive playing, and a wonderful tribute to a great legend Mr. "Poppa" John Hughey. I miss him terribly, as I'm sure all of us "steelers" do. HAL

Hal : you hit the nail right on its head; Adair has to be the finest steel Player; he surely does a fine tribute to our " Poppa John ". Sweet Memories and A Way To Survive are two of my favorite tunes of Poppa John's. I loved Adair the first time I heard him play. What a grand talent..Bernie Rolling Eyes Laughing Whoa!

Don't forget my John Hughey Tribute video.

It's a bit raw, and not technically perfect, because I learned these tunes by ear Very Happy

the tributes are all beautiful and heartfelt...and demonstrations of fine steel playing. i wish i could do as well, but they still lack the depth of passion that was john hughey!!

Adair, I have never heard you play before. You are a very heart felt player. Your execution and expression are pure artistry. Bravo. Classic Emmons sound also.

Adair, you did a great job on that John Hughey tribute!!

When I heard John backing Dawn Sears on 'Sweet Memories', it just knocked me out. What a beautiful song for a steel!

You're an excellent player, Adair.

I just wanted to revive this thread and let y'all know about Adair Torres' myspace
Listen to the beautiful rendition of Sweet Memories, Way to Survive, and a most original, lovely version of When They Ring Those Golden Bells. This is a Must Hear, because you'll get the studio version of those tunes and much better quality than the youtube versions.

Our one and only "Brazil Connection" has such a great tone and touch. The sustain is outa this world.

I found Adair's myspace link thru Matthew Prouty's website. Thanks Matthew! You have a great sound and a nice touch.
