I keep deleting the Recycle Bin from the desktop. Is there a known bug that causes this thing to disappear?
Sounds silly but for the last 3-4 times that it has disappeared, I swear I did not delete it myself.
(I'm getting to be a real expert in bringing it back.)

Leroy, sort of an aside to your question, but a very neat little thing to do when deleting items.
If you hold down the shift key when deleting it gets deleted right out of the computer without going via the recycle bin.
I use this all the time. Never use the recycle bin.
A word of caution: Just be SURE you want to delete something before you hit the key.
Try it, you'll love it
