Bump for my youngest guitar picker who may be a steeler in the years to come. I'm quite sure he'll be apt to play more like Robert Randolph than Jimmy Day, just because he's a different generation. And I hope all you pickers will agree with me that there's nothing in the world wrong with that!! Follow your own star, you don't have to do as we say you must! Ask Paul Franklin? Tommy white? any folks who are working in today's music scene!! Keeping the steel alive is more important than playing like his Dad or his famous cousin, Bobbe! and enjoy it in the process!! I got Rich a Fender/ShoBud student for Christmas and we agree it will be easier to start with 3 & 1, than 3 & 4! Give Clark 8 a listen on My Space, that's Rich's trio! in the LA area.
