Gary Preston is without power and has asked me to post that due to the power outages in the Columbus area (and other areas), we won't be having our jam this Saturday. Members will be receiving a newsletter in the mail in the next day or so. Please hang on to those for next time. A postcard will be sent out to members announcing the date of our next jam. We do appologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks,

Jeff and Kristy

What a storm, I left NC to excape those things. My sister-in-law is still without power in Lewisburg, OH. Lots of places still without. Sorry the jam got canceled, was looking forward to this one. Always a reason these things happen though. Lets keep this on top to help get the word out. Looking forward to the next one. DS

Apologies. Not my intent. I was born and raised in Northern Ohio. I have just returned to Ohio 5 years ago to assist my sister in caring for our ageing mother. I have lived in Ohio for a total of 23 years, which means I have lived outside Ohio for 32 years. I have lived many places along life's path.

I did not mean to offend you or anyone. I shall change it. Please forgive the error.

Have you been to an OSGA jam? We have a good time. You are welcome to come, member or not.

I'm a member but i had to sell all of my equipment at the last of 2007. I meant to tell you take care of your mother. They don't last long enough. Mine didn't. I emailed Gary Preston 2 times a while back and he didn't email back. I guess hes mad at me. I'm not any good at steel anyway. Guess i started too late.

Yep, I need one of those. Tamara, I'll be looking to learn that one from you, myself. Any news yet as to when the next jam will be? Just want to keep an open schedule. DS

Doesn't sound like Gary. Email can be lost in the electronic crack of positive and negitive charges. I got a little Fender I'd be glad to bring for you to play. 3 pedals, one knee. I can plug my new one and the Fender into my NV112. I even have an extra bar.

Some of us are working on a special segment for players who are needing experience playing with a live band. You sound like you would fit right in.

Sad Hi Guys and Gals . It looks like everyone knows that we have been without electric . It came on last night around 9:00 pm . I'm very sorry that we had to cancel the jam as we all look forward to them . We now have two jams scheduled for Oct ,11 and Dec 6th . The Dec, 6th will be our Christmas jam so be thinking about what we should do for that date . Thanks so much to Jeff Harbour for letting everyone on the forum know about the cancellation . I would like to take this time to say this about our members . We have some great folks that are willing to jump in and help out when the time comes ,and for that we are so greatful . Jimmy Martin i'm very sorry if i didn't reply to your e-mail please forgive me . Tammy please e-mail me i need to ask you something . Or call me at (614) 774-3109 . Just one more thing . My wife and i are very happy that the power came back on but we feel that we are very blessed that we still have our home and belongings . There are those that lost just about everything they owned in other parts of the country . May God pour out a super blessing on them very soon . God bless us one and all . G.P.

Guys and Gals . As Tammy has already said we welcome everyone to our jams . We love to meet new folks regardless if they play steel or any instrument . We always have a place for other players and those that just like to listen . Bring the whole family if you want to . We always have some great food that the ladies cook for us . ''Come one come all'' and enjoy the day with us ! We have a great venue that is non smoking and non alcohol . What more could you ask for ?
Hope to see you soon . Best regards . G.P.

Very Happy Hi Joe . I never thought of it the way you described it ! Anyway its good to hear from you ole buddie . Yes it would be great if all steel players lived in the same state huh ? Maybe we can work on that ! Whoa! Yes we are happy to have power back on and hope that everyone does soon . Talk later . G.P.

Hey, Tamara,.....didja ever think you'd live long enuf to be a speed limit??? I guess some of us are now speeders....lol. If I EVER make it to a jam & meet you folks, can I bring my steel so someone else can play it? I'm sure there's a song it somewhere, but I don't seem to find it. Surprised) Anyway, Happy Birthday to you Tamara, whenever it is!
