I was asked recently to prepare a lesson on the
subject song which I had never heard before..not
being a Garth Brooks fan per se. I was amazed that
after OPENING MY EARS I almost missed a beautiful song done so well by this great artist.
It was a real nice change to work on Garth's mucic
and learned a lot in the process. It makes a
pretty solo for E9th PSG. I transcribed the keyboard
intro and acoustic guitar intro parts and they
fall right on the steel fretboard.
Although this is not a finished recording it's
as good as it gets. Hope some of you players
pick up on it and play it at your Gigs or whatever.

Roy, thanks for mentioning "The Dance" which is one of my favorites. During the 1995 T.S.G.A. Jamboree in Dallas, back when the show was at the downtown hotel, Tommy Roots took the time to teach me how to play "The Dance" and I'll be forever grateful for his kindness and consideration. Whenever I play, "The Dance", I do it for Tommy. God Bless Tommy, may he rest in peace. |

Jerry, I hope to hear you play it sometime.
Roy,I'm not a big fan of Garth's later stuff but the dance is a great song and you did it well. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10
